After months of deliberation and meetings, we have decided to take the plunge and offer to rent Oak House in Drybrook with the aim to resurrect “The Shop on the Cross” which ran so successfully in Drybrook a few years ago.

The original “Shop on the Cross” was opened in 1999 in a soon to be demolished building. The shop ran for 3 years and was incredibly successful as a second-hand goods shop and a source of Christian outreach for the community. The shop closed in 2002 when the building was demolished.

Initially this will be a good quality second hand goods shop with the hope of running a coffee shop alongside soon afterwards.

It is apparent that this will be a venture which is run by people from our congregation and other local congregations who have the will and enthusiasm to see the Church have a voice and presence in the local community. This is a leap of faith if ever there was one.

We now need your help!
Could you help in any of the following ways?

  • Helpers and staff to work in the shop
  • Financial support
  • Donate quality goods (sorry no electrical items)
  • Prayer support

If you could help in any way, please contact the Rector on 01594 542232
